Carolina Herrera Fall/Winter 2020-2021 Ready-to-Wear

New York Fashion Week seems to be striking all the right chords and one couldn’t wish for a better beginning to kick-start Fashion Month. And so, the long-awaited Carolina Herrera show was really the cherry on top of a very artsy cake, as Creative Director Wes Gordon pays homage to dramatic movements with a series of colorful pieces, worthy of the House’s sophisticated touch.

So what was the collection all about? Well, think of the most monochromatic pieces you can, add them to an effortlessly elegant vibe and there you have it – a recipe for true Herrera success. The first number was a vibrant red cape that created a contrasting effect with other pink-ish items. The clothes were simple yet irreverently classy, from the bright yellow dress with the statement sleeves and the green contrasting boots, to the oversized blue sweater and the kimono pieces. And then came a series of pink and orange brocade pieces that reminded us of what the House of Herrera is all about: colorful elegance.
