Burberry Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Ready-to-Wear

There’s a special palette that Burberry prides itself in and it’s mostly a lavish mélange of beige, white, black and red. And so, for Fall/Winter 2019-2020, it only seemed fair that this particular collection would follow suit, introducing yet another masterpiece designed by Riccardo Tisci himself.

The heroes of this wondrous tale, you might ask? Of course, the brand’s signature check patterns, a few trench coats from here and there and some fine tailoring. Think camel pantsuits embellished with billowing feathers, a revisited version of the trench coat featuring detached pieces, fancy leather coats hugging the body like a glove, fringed capes and loose dresses paired with tailored blazers. Midway through the show, the color palette seemed to deviate towards brighter colors, from soft green skirt-suits to perky pink pieces. Models such as Natalia Vodianova and Gigi Hadid made charming appearances – all of whom wore pieces that seemed to highlight the House’s codes with all its streetwear elements and elegant eveningwear vibes.
