Brow Perm

At my last threading appointment, I was asked if I wanted to instantly have the look of thicker brows. I assumed they were talking about microblading but I was wrong.
They showed me a picture of a before and after and I have to be honest I wasn’t a fan. Nevertheless, it is my duty to let you know about this trend in brows because we all love different looks. I do love a bushy natural brow, but this was basically how brows look when you brush them up right before trimming them. They also don’t move so it looks like you glued them in place. Maybe this place didn’t have the best example to show me but that was my first impression.
So what the heck is a brow perm? It’s basically a keratin treatment for your brows. It’s supposed to make the hairs thicker and stronger. It lasts about 6-8 weeks and only takes about 20 minutes to do. There is no pain and it’s not very expensive. It also gives you that brushed up look, aka the soap brow. Soap brow is an old Hollywood method of taking a spoolie and rubbing some soap on it (waxy bar of soap not liquid) and then brushing your brows up to get a feathered effect. This works best on maybe those with naturally thinner brows, because on my thick brows it definitely doesn’t look right.
