Bridal Jewels: Classic style

Most of you by now would have either read about or seen photographs of Pippa Middleton’s (Kate Middleton’s sister) lovely engagement ring. Her fiancé, James Mathews, gave her an Asscher-cut diamond engagement ring. Estimated at £250,000, the art-deco ring features a 3-carat diamond surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds in channel setting. This ring pretty much gives you engagement ring goals!

This year, leading brands have added new designs to their bridal collection, thereby increasing the vast choice at your disposal - traditional eternity designs, textured bands, solitaires, plain bands and matching rings.

Yellow gold has always been a timeless color choice. However, with rose gold, platinum and white gold jewels becoming popular, you need to opt for a color that suits your skin tone. Once you’ve decided on the style and color, the rest becomes an easy choice. With a lovely pair of earrings or drops, rings and necklace to match the gown, you’re set for the Big Day. If you are a romantic at heart, you can get the wedding date, or initials or some romantic little message engraved on the inside of the ring. We’d say, this makes the wedding day all the more personal and symbolic. Should you wish to have the engraving done, look for a ring with a slightly wider shank instead of those ultra-thin rings. In terms of selecting a material that’s durable, platinum is always a good choice.

In this edit, we’ll stick to classic styles.
