One of the most recent life changing beauty breakthroughs is the gel manicure. For years women would walk around after a manicure so careful not to ruin their wet polish, almost as though their world would crumble once there is a chip! With today's emphasis on perfection, one area that you can easily achieve is the perfect manicure. On a day like your wedding day, the Gel manicure gives you the chance to have one less thing on your mind and be completely worry free about your nails, all the way to the time when you get back from your honeymoon. A beautiful pink shade you can try is the Pink Smoothie a milky opaque shade which can be easily matched with a pedicure in OPI's Mod About you regular polish. Here's a list of pros and con's to help you decide if you should go the gel route. This formula uses a UV light to dry, it can be done at home but is probably best to find a salon that offers this service.

Pros
- Your nail polish will dry instantly
- It won't chip for up to 2-3 weeks
- It will continue to look shiny like a brand new manicure
- Did we mention that your nail polish will not chip?!

Cons
- Once you've chosen a color, you will have to stick with it for a couple weeks since taking off gel takes some time - but since you are getting married, you are clearly ok with commitment so this shouldn't be an issue for you!
- It can damage your nails if not removed correctly
- It costs more than a regular manicure and takes more time overall
- It could be difficult to match up with a regular color for your pedi

Gel manicures aren't for everyone, but once you try it you are likely to get hooked. If you feel that your nails are not strong enough and this trend is not for you, maybe use it only for special occasions or when traveling.
