In 1952, the relationship between Breitling and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) started with a wrist instrument that takes care of all necessary flight calculations. Later on, this creation became the official timepiece in the association bearing its logo on the 12 o'clock indicator. Indeed, we're talking about the amazing Navitimer, one of the most recognizable watches of all time. Today, hand in hand, AOPA and Breitling are initiating one of several new upcoming collaborations to celebrate this marvel’s 70th anniversary and it consists of the “Breitling Aviation Scholarship”, which will cover the costs for a young person in the US to complete a full pilot’s training course. However, this scholarship is just the first of several planned collaborations that will mark the watch’s awaited 70th anniversary in 2022.
