They’re the reason behind every trend seen on the runways. Yes, we’re talking about fashion designers! Don’t you wonder sometimes what these creative minds return to after weeks and weeks of hard work and fashion shows? Well, this book will tell you all about that while focusing on American fashion designers.

Entitled “American Fashion Designers at Home”, this release offers you an intimate look into the private spaces of more than 100 members of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, such as Diane Von Furstenburg and Derek Lam.

Vivid images will immerse you in their domiciles, which range in design and style from minimal chic to bold and exotic, and allow you to discover their domestic interpretation of their own taste in fashion. Discover Carolina Herrera’s classic elegance taking shape into her Louis XV-inspired New York apartment and Tommy Hilfiger’s take on comfortable and relaxing spaces through a preppy aesthetical style, as well as Donna Karan’s tranquil, zen-inpired villa in the Turks and Caicos Islands with its eco-friendly architecture and yoga pavilion.

In a nutshell, this book shows you how American fashion designers let their creativity run wild equally at work and home.

CHANEL’s Mademoiselle Privé Takes Tokyo

After London in 2015, Seoul in 2017, Hong Kong in 2018 and Shanghai in April 2019, it’s time for CHANEL to move to a new country and spread its creative spirit onto a new place. This time around, it’s Tokyo’s turn to welcome the Mademoiselle Privé exhibition, inviting all fashion gurus to discover the three creative worlds of the house: the Haute Couture, the legendary No5 perfume and the High Jewelry.

While the first constitutes an eternal value that is reinvented in every collection the house creates, the second carries the memories of 1921 when it first saw the light and the third takes us on a trip down memory lane to remind us of “Bijoux de Diamants”, Gabrielle Chanel’s one and only high jewelry collection created in 1932.

From October 19 to December 1, the B&C Hall in Tennoz, Shinagawa will be host to exclusive scenography and a one-of-a-kind experience. And why “Mademoiselle Privé”, you might ask? In fact, these two words appear on the door that led into Mademoiselle Chanel’s creative studio on the third floor at 31 Rue Cambon in Paris and with them being the title of this exhibition, they are certainly the only two that could be used as an invitation to explore the creative world of CHANEL.
