Books seem to be our saving grace that make the long days at home shorter and merrier! Don’t you agree? With this in mind, here’s a new one to indulge while quarantining. Ladies, brace yourselves and let’s discover Dior through Peter Lindbergh’s lenses! Peter Lindbergh’s inimitable style has become a cherished element of the fashion industry, and Dior had a lot to do with the creativity that set this late genius apart. From Marion Cotillard to Charlize Theron and many others, the house’s exceptional muses were captured by his lenses.

This book pays tribute to these collaborations between two of the fashion world’s most cherished icons. It takes us back to Lindbergh’s project that depicted seventy years of Dior history in the vibrant Times Square of New York. Iconic pieces from the Maison’s vault in Paris were shipped across the Atlantic to take over the lively city; pieces like the 1947 Bar suit, haute couture creations that were hand-sewn by Christian Dior and more recent designs by Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The great photographer’s mastery comes alive through his way of highlighting the silhouettes, intricacies and textures of each garment. Two volumes will take you through these wonderful collaborations, with Volume one featuring 165 never-before-published images from the shoot, and Volume two honoring Lindbergh’s profound relationship with the Parisian house through more than 100 of his photographs of Dior pieces.
