Using your accessories the right way always pays off when mastering a look, and belts are one of those details that can actually make or break an outfit. In order to flatter your body shape, it’s very important your wear yours correctly. So, ladies, behold as we take you through some golden rules that you need to follow. One thing you need to do before we get to it is finding out your body shape. Now, let’s start!

-Do you have a straight figure? Create the illusion of curves by opting for a medium-width belt of a dark color to mark with it your empire waist.

-The larger your body is – whether tall or curvy, the wider your belt should be. It’s all about right proportions, even when it comes to cinching your waist with an elegant belt.

-To the contrary to tall figures, petite ones look better with skinny belts of the same color as the chosen outfit. While it cinches the waist and emphasizes the curves, choosing a belt of the same hue avoids breaking the silhouette, therefore making your figure look taller.

-For those of you who have a pear– or an apple-shaped body, medium to wide belts are ideal as long as your figure allows it.

-The lucky winners in this whole game are those who have an hourglass body that allows them to wear almost all kinds of belts and experiment with textures and styles.
