Balenciaga chose the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange as its runway, and it was definitely a plus to the show. And with the models whose identities were obscured, the focus was totally on the amazing Spring 2023 collection. Rich in marvels varying between ready-to-wear, eveningwear, shoes, bags, and much more, it was highlighted with a special line of designs resulting from the collaboration between Balenciaga and adidas. So as a result, we were also pampered with recontextualized elements of sportswear that have been a part of Balenciaga’s creative language.
Right after the show, an exclusive release of selected signature pieces became available for purchase only on Balenciaga.com and at the Madison Avenue, New York Balenciaga store for us to enjoy sooner rather than later. And with a black-dominated color palette came red, white, blue and yellow to turn the tables.
