Azyaamode and Van Cleef & Arpels Count the Story of Romeo & Juliet

In celebration of love, Azyaamode and Van Cleef & Arpels wanted to explore the world of romance depicted in gold and precious stones. And what’s better than the Dubai Opera to pay tribute to the timeless passionate love story of Romeo & Juliet. The latter is not only the title of the most famous love story in history, but also the French Maison’s latest high jewelry collection. With this in mind, let the story begin!

Sitting there, in this fancy setting, redefining beauty through every detail of her look, she counts the Romeo & Juliet story in the most exquisite of ways.

With its detachable clip and the rose representing the color of the Capulet family, the Rose Capulet necklace is inspired by one of Juliet’s famous quotes in this play.

Inspired by the architecture of the Ottolini palace in Verona and the Venetian glassware from the 1900s when the classical Italian Renaissance was in full bloom, the Ottoline ring depicts the eternal love between Romeo and Juliet through the shape of 8.

The Antéa necklace is inspired by the Renaissance arabesque motifs decorating the Palazzo Ducale in Montua.

As their name suggests, The Kiss at the Balcony earrings reinterpret the famous kiss through a design that recalls the hoop earrings from Van Cleef & Arpels’ patrimony pieces.

Inspired by the Signori square in Verona with its architecture, the Verona transformable necklace depicts in its details the winding alleys, the hidden passageways and the bridges of the lovers’ city.

The Merli bracelet evokes the famous castellated ramparts of Verona from the Middle Ages.

Besides depicting the couture theme so dear to the Maison, the Nastro ring reinterprets the iconic Renaissance costumes with its design that takes the shape of a knotted ribbon.

Inspired by a costume made for Juliet’s character in Franco Zeffirelli’s 1968 Oscar winning movie, the Juliet’s Dress ring embodies the play’s rich cultural universe.

The Flora between-the-finger ring has a diamond at its center that represents Juliet’s purity and depicts through its floral motifs the prints and embroideries featured on Renaissance costumes.

Through its symmetrical design, the Specchio ring captures the mirrored affection of the two lovers and their infinite love for each other.

Laces and bows are not only an ode to the Renaissance costumes but also to Van Cleef & Arpels’ passion for couture and the Amplesso transformable bracelet and ring bring them together in one piece that surrounds the wrist like an embrace.

With their detachable pendants, the Balletti earrings represent the traditional colored dresses worn during balls while dancing to the classic Italian music.
