Ashi Studio Spring-Summer 2018 Collection

Nobody can dispute Saudi designer Mohamed Ashi’s grip on the fashion scene, especially since every collection he presents pushes further the realm of the orient-meets-occident world. His Spring-Summer 2018 collection did just that, gushing voluptuous movements and translucent silks into one sensual and feministic canvas.

The all-too flawless mood was enhanced with a series of creamy hues, splashed across plissé maxi dresses and belted blazers. To most eyes, Ashi’s Spring-Summer 2018 collection might seem like another successful attempt at mixing two worlds into one big melting pot, but look closely and you could almost spot all the intricate work and sophisticated savoir-faire that goes into the creation of his pieces. Picture sheer blouses paired with pencil skirts, decadent translucent fabrics forming a modern-day attire and ruffled bottoms to match their respective bralettes. This time around, the designer took his knack for modernity to a whole new level, bringing forth a line that combines both power-suiting and sophisticated-dressing to a woman’s lexicon.

After all, isn’t bringing together the best of both worlds, a brave statement on its own?
