And it’s a Wrap for the Chopard Classic Rally – Dubai

The second edition of the Chopard Classic Rally – Dubai came to a close on November 9 and it was nothing less than victorious. Held in the United Arab Emirates, this event that was organized by Chopard in partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons and Emaar Properties brought together 30 classic sports cars from around the world that started from the Burj Khalifa and headed towards the northern emirates, passing by Sharja, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Hatta.

The journey was certainly filled with exciting and challenging regularity tests. As for the winners, they were announced during a ceremonious dinner that took place at Armani Hotel Dubai. The first place team, driver and co-driver, were awarded the limited-edition of the L.U.C 1937 Classic Rally Dubai Special Edition, which is dedicated to Middle Eastern classic racing enthusiasts. This was not all, as awards were also given to second and third place teams’ winners along with three special categories: Spirit of the Rally, Best in show classic car and Best novices – a new 2018 award category presented by Emaar Properties.

“I am not a specialist in regularity rallies but having the chance to meet with passionate participants in a friendly but competitive atmosphere and discovering the enchanting scenery on the roads of the UAE, was my main objective”, said Romain Dumas, 24 Hours of Le Mans winner in 2010 and 2016, and three-time winner of the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
