Coachella is right around the corner and we thought that this year, we could let you in all you need to know about this world-renowned festival. Coachella is not only about bohemian fashion or the artists who are set to perform during the festival, or even the celebs that take over your Instagram feed with their posts. It’s about all that, and  about art!

Officially named “The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival”, this event was first held in 1999 in Indio, California. In fact, there’s a backstory behind it that makes it all the more interesting. Coachella started after a conflict that took place between the band Pearl Jam and Ticketmaster over their service fees, which affected all concert-goers. This led the band to search for an alternative venue for their Vs tour and they ended up on this side of the Californian desert.

That said, Coachella has grown to become more than a weekend of good music. It now includes art installations and is a major fashion hub for bohemian-inspired styles that are perfect for a sunny summer day!
