2021 Cartier Women's Initiative Awards

Fifteen years later, Cartier continues to help women shine brighter. For the 2021 Cartier Women’s Initiative, the House is once again shedding the light on promising women and their achievements by offering them all kinds of support, whether financial, social or human capital, so they can grow their businesses and build their leadership skills like never before.

For now, 24 fellows have been selected amongst 876 applicants coming from 142 countries, and the 8 winners will be announced at a later stage on 26 May 2021, during a virtual ceremony. Why are there 8 winners this year you might ask? Well, it’s because a new award has been added: The Science & Technology Pioneer Award, to further increase the program’s impact and relevance.

What’s more exciting is that 3 of the selected fellows come from the MENA region: Rana El Sakhawy, the Emirati founder of MonkiBox, Basima Abdulrahman, the Iraqi entrepreneur of Kesk and Manal Bahlawan the Lebanese who launched Geek Express.
