20 Minute Mommy Makeover

Let me be honest; since my daughter was born I have made almost zero effort in the beauty department. Taking a shower was as far as my beauty regimen went.
This month my daughter turns 3 and has become more independent.
And now I realize that looking good not only makes me feel better, but it also shows my spouse that I am still making some effort to make him notice me like the time when we were dating.

So here are some things I’ve been doing to get my beauty groove back.

The first thing I do is take the time to curl my hair. I don’t wash it every day and most of the time, including right now it’s in a bun. Yes, buns are cute but let’s face it, men are a sucker for our hair down. What I do is just comb through my hair to get out the tangles and heat up my curling wand as I do my skincare and makeup.
Step 2: any type of coverage is great, but I like something light like the HOURGLASS Illusion® Hyaluronic Skin Tint. Once my skincare routine is done I put this on and go straight to brows. Lately I’ve been using Benefit Goof Proof Pencil and I love it.
Step 3: every mom needs more sleep, so concealer is a must. Benefit Cosmetics BOI-ING CAKELESS CONCEALER is so easy to apply. I just use a sponge or brush to blend it in. I also use this on my lids and to define the brow area.
Step 4: if I have time, I put on some shadow, but otherwise I just throw on some mascara. I usually just use whichever one I can find first but I love trying new ones. Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara is one I bought while waiting in line at Sephora in a travel size and I love how dramatic it makes my lashes look.
Last but not least, I brighten up my complexion with a blush or bronzer. For cheeks I’ve been into creamy options like NUDIES BLOOM ALL-OVER DEWY COLOR, it has a brush on the other side which is great for reapplying on the go.

With this last step, I take the hot curling iron and fix that gorgeous hair and I’m ready to go. But trust me by this time my toddler and husband have already found me!
