Van Cleef & Arpels Spreads Its Wings in Kyoto

The National Museum of Modern Art in Kyoto is getting ready for a big share of high jewelry art, as it is welcoming a new exhibition with a special Van Cleef & Arpels cooperation. From April 29th until August 6th, the “Mastery of an Art: Van Cleef & Arpels – High Jewelry and Japanese Crafts” exhibition will be comparing the house’s exquisite creations to the traditional crafts of Japan.

In fact, it’s through this exhibition that the Parisian house and the Japanese capital prove the spirit of cultural exchange that exists between them. With traditional workmanship lying at the heart of both, they will take you on a historical journey like no other.

With its rich archive of precious works, most of the Van Cleef & Arpels’ pieces on display were produced in the Maison’s studios between the 1920s and the 1980s. For now, you can contain your excitement by visiting the Photo Gallery below…
