Van Cleef & Arpels Honors Savoir-Faire at Design Days Dubai

Design Days Dubai is never complete without an exhibition by Van Cleef & Arpels and this year, the famed jewelry house is holding an exhibition that pays tribute to savoir-faire. This year’s edition of the fair held under the patronage of Dubai’s Crown Prince H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum is hosted at Dubai Design District.

To show its special attachment to emeralds, Van Cleef & Arpels pays tribute to this precious stone with a set of creations that reveal its beauty and distinguished character. The house will also celebrate the traditional craft of porcelain métier d’art by hosting an exhibition for Porcelain de Sèvres, a manufacture founded in 1740 that has supplied porcelain tableware and art objects to the Kings of France and the country’s leading institutions, as well as several foreign royal courts. Paying tribute to their partnership that came to life in 2012, Van Cleef & Arpels will reveal two exquisite necklaces that bring together porcelain métier d’art and jewelry craftsmanship.

GCC’s emerging designers also get their share from this anticipated event. In partnership with Design Days Dubai, the house and Tashkeel will host the 5th edition of The Middle East Emergent Designer Prize, which focuses on the theme of Growth.

Now visit the Photo Gallery to take a look at the creations that will be showcased at the Art of Crafts exhibition.
