If you are anything like us, your décor mission is clear: you want to enliven your space with luxurious textiles, textures and furniture. You can also add a touch of sophistication with stunning mosaic inspirations from Italy by way of door handles, ceilings, walls, stairways and even accents on furniture. Our new find is Ravenna-based mosaic maisonSicis, whose colorful glass mosaics have been used to add flourish tothe Bellagio Hotels, the Wynn Las Vegas, the Encore Resort, the Plaza Hotel and the Trump SoHo spa in New York.

Earlier this year, the brand opened its flagship store at Mayfair in London. Wowed by the craftsmanship, artistic mosaic, furniture and lights at the showroom, we decided to share more about the brand, which by the way also makes fine jewellery and watches in micro-mosaic tesserae.

Sicis is permanently on the lookout for groundbreaking design solutions, says Maurizio Leo Placuzzi, founder and president. “We consider each project we deliver as a new challenge, and we aim to satisfy our worldwide customers through continuous research. Innovation and tradition are on the frontline of the brand’s philosophy. The Middle East has always been a key-market for Sicis and we intend to keep focusing on this region,” adds Maurizio Leo Placuzzi.

‘Sicis Next Art’ leverages on ancient artisanal techniques to create limited edition bold furniture: hearts, moon, flowers and leaves find their way into silk-velvet chairs, pouffes and chaise longues accentuated by mesmerizing mosaics in a myriad of hues. Additionally, creative collaborations with artists like Christian Lacroix, Carla Tomoleo, AlidaCappelliniand Giovanni Licheri have resulted in unique pieces fit for the royalty and design conscious. Bet you’ll be soon mad for Sicis, like we are.
