Saint Laurent Celebrates LEED Platinum Certification for New Concept Boutiques

Saint Laurent has been awarded the LEED Platinum Certification for its three new concept boutiques in the Parisian Faubourg 38, Rodeo Drive 326 in Beverly Hills and London’s Old Bond Street 32.

Designed in 2012 by Hedi Slimane, the Saint Laurent architectural concept highlights the use of luxury materials in wide proportions and clear architecture. Preferring simplicity over elaborate decor, Slimane’s concept is dominated by a spirit of serenity and the new definition of contemporary luxury reminiscent of the works and standards of the Union des Artistes Modernes.

The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification is one of the most recognized green building certification programs worldwide and features four levels: certified, silver, gold and platinum. The concept provides innovative and sustainable solutions to minimize water consumption, optimize energy efficiency and ensure better indoor air quality – proving the brand’s ability to combine a one-of-a-kind design with an ideal sustainability approach.
