Flashing neon lights: they were in the setting, they were in the pieces, heck they were even mentioned in the songs. So one would only expect that Miuccia Prada would send out models celebrating the same statement. Picture black coats layered on fluorescent pink tulle and dresses featuring bright neon lights. Picture fluorescent boots and vivid statement bags.

Indeed, the House’s forte in emancipating women with the power of fashion was forever present, as the designer brought forth a slew of eccentric pieces, from the puffer trench to the colorful rain-boots, the layered tulle tuniques upholstered with flower appliques covering neon pieces and the checkered ensembles that have been invading Milan’s runways.

Halfway through the show, a series of models came out wearing shearling leather jackets embellished with fluorescent linings and flapper dresses with glowing plastic fringes.

The collection was a treat for sore eyes – literally – but the real standouts were definitely the colorful tags hanging from the models’ torsos.
