Piaget Shines at Art Dubai 2018

It was during Art Dubai 2018 that Piaget presented its Sunlight Journey Collection, taking part in four days of pure glamor, as artists and galleries were assembled together under one roof in the presence of the international art world.

Indeed, held between the 21st and 24th of March at the Madinat Jumeirah, Art Dubai has welcomed Piaget for the third consecutive year, bringing forth a unique journey with the Luxury Swiss watchmaker and jeweler.

“Art Dubai is one of the most established art fairs in the world and Piaget is proud to be a part of it and support local talents. At the Maison Piaget, we aim to imagine daring creations using our history and heritage, which highlight our unique DNA. We share this passion for creativity, innovation and art-de-vivre with Art Dubai, making it the ultimate platform for us to showcase our savoir faire throughout the ‘Sunlight Journey’ collection,” said Chabi Nouri, CEO of Piaget said.

Piaget unveiled a collaboration with The Cultural Office of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, running a competition and giving UAE-based artists and designers the opportunity to deliver an art installation based on the theme ‘Sunny Side of Life’ that would be displayed at the Piaget Lounge during Art Dubai 2018. The collaboration pegs itself as a nod to emerging artists, where local talent is supported within an international platform. The winning project was that of Emirati artist and interior designer, Jawaher Al Khayyal’s, who single-handedly presented an interactive installation ‘Summer Muse’, inspired by the “Life is a party” cuff from the High Jewelry collection and imagining the charismatic personality of an elegant woman, shining in a beautiful gown and frosted in jewels, as she radiates at a poolside party on a summer evening – worthy of the Piaget legacy. Brand ambassador Jessica Chastain, style icon and friend of the Maison Olivia Palermo, singer Hiba Tawaji and Model Winnie Harlow all joined the presentation at the booth to support Piaget.

The launch of Sunlight Journey at Art Dubai was followed by an extravagant dinner, in the midst of very well established setting, representing the collection ever-so perfectly and decrypting a romantic Italian village. Guests revelled in an enchanting décor and swayed to the music of incredible performers. But perhaps the most exciting part was the transformable table that revealed a hidden pool where guests could literally ‘fish’ for Piaget diamonds.

The Photo Gallery, right this way…
