Louis Vuitton Spring 2016 Celebrity Front Row

Set at the Foundation Louis Vuitton in the outskirts of Paris the celebrity turn out at a Louis Vuitton show is not like any other. Perhaps the hottest ticket on the fashion week raster, Louis Vuitton’s series of international and French celebrities are a selective batch of the talented, elegant and sophisticated.

Louis Vuitton model Michelle Williams, embodies precisely those qualities. The actress chose a perfectly tailored suede statement coat from Louis Vuitton’s Pre-fall 2015 collection, white blouse and pointed ankle boots as she sat frontrow with an with an eclectic mix of stars including Catherine Deneuve, Xavier Dolan and singer Claire Boucher, aka Grimes. Her blonde bob and muted makeup perfectly complemented her demure Parisian style.

A flirty leather skirt and biker boots balanced supermodel Miranda Kerr’s razor-sharp hair-do while French actress Adèle Exarchopoulos kept it simple in a red leather skirt, modest black turtle neck sweater and bold lips. Emerging star, Swedish actress Alicia Vikander went for a prim look in a crocheted two-toned Louis Vuitton dress with ruffled collar.

For his part, Nicholas Ghesquière did not disappoint – though he never does – as he unveiled his latest collection. Speaking to the digital age, Ghesquière set the show against a runway lined with video screens referencing the popular video game Minecraft. The virtual journey began with doll-like model, Fernanda Ly, opening the show in a pink motorcycle jacket, matching hair and a tiara across her forehead like a beautiful Japanese anime character.

Models donned lashes drawn at extreme angles creating cartoonish bold eyes. Leather and chain mesh details further added to the digital element of the collection. The new array of handbags presented included a drawstring backpack and a new micro trunk while heavy sling back mules were the shoe of choice.
