Jaeger-LeCoultre’s “Two Worlds” Photographic Exhibition

Jaeger-LeCoultre has always supported the creative worlds of cinema and photography, and by continuing to do so the luxury brand unveils an original photographic exhibition entitled “Two Worlds” at its New York flagship on Madison Avenue.

The series of outstanding photographs by Caitlin Cronenberg elicit an experience like no other, as they capture what makes Sarah Gadon who she is, from her impulsiveness to her elegance and eccentric feel. In addition, the exhibit highlights Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Rendez-Vous watch.

“Two Worlds” is a metaphor of the actress’s two separate lives, the old and the new, Brooklyn and Manhattan. It gives visitors a chance to discover the connection between Sarah Gadon and the watch collection. The Canadian award winning actress, who was love struck by the Rendez-Vous Collection, said: “Each watch becomes a tiny piece of art which you carry with you every day. Whenever I work with Caitlin we spend time ahead of the shoot creating and discussing the character at the heart of the shoot. In the spirit of New York we took to the streets to capture the real-time energy of the city.”

Caitlin Cronenberg, initially a fashion designer with a BA from Ryerson University, shifted direction and entered the world of photography, going all the way to the top by shooting the images of international movie posters and behind-the-scenes film pictures. “Two Worlds” is a true example of her refined style.

Jaeger-LeCoultre holds a constant love for cinema and photography that goes back to a decade, since the worlds of watchmaking and photography share the same artistic vision. The brand has also been supporting and backing up many artistic film festivals around the world, including Venice, Shanghai, San Sebastian, Los Angeles, Toronto, and New York; a true support to the talents that continue to rise and enrich the world of filmmaking.

“Haute Horlogerie and the worlds of cinema and photography share common values: both create dreams and a sense of wonder through aesthetic and technical mastery. Jaeger-LeCoultre draws upon the talent of its many artisans to create exceptional watch objects, just as it takes talented writers, directors, actors and technicians to produce a work of filmmaking art. It is all about two worlds infused with creative ingenuity,” says Daniel Riedo, CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre.
