Hitting the Beach in Style – The Do’s and Don’ts

This summer, we’re all getting on board with lightweight beachwear and funky swimsuits. Trying to figure out what to wear to the beach is always kind of hard- and sometimes even harder when you’ve gained a pound or two. The thing is, even though you should be comfortable in your own body no matter the circumstances, the notion of summer brings back the memories of slim figures and healthy allures. Now we’re all for going healthy and whatnot, but we’ve got to be realistic here… the goal is more than often very hard to reach. So how to hit the beach in style and feel at ease at the same time? The answer is as simple as the art of dressing up; choose the right beachwear and you my friend, are golden!

Do pick the right shape of swimsuits. A woman with fuller breasts needs an underwire bra and supportive straps (so no bralettes). In another note, a padded triangle top is best fitted for a smaller chest.

Don’t forget about the size. If the straps are too tight, they might accentuate some unwanted curves and if they’re too large, they might drown away your silhouette.

Do embrace the one-piece swimsuit trend.

Don’t go for multi-straps swimsuits. Sure, it might look good on the catalogue you’ve picked up, but it will be leaving you with hideous tan lines.

Do pick some long and flowy cover-ups. The more colorful they are, the better!

Don’t forget your sunnies and your fedora!

Do mix-and-match your swimsuits. Maybe a printed top and a basic bottom, what do you say?

Do pick a retro-inspired swimsuit. Enough said.

But most of all, do not, under any circumstances, wear sky-high heels to the beach. We beg of you.
