Fine tailoring and exquisite leather craftsmanship were at the forefront of Hermès’ Spring-Summer 2020 collection and Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski was right on top of the game. Her goal? Infusing the House’s iconic vision and codes with some of that underrated Parisian modernism and minimalism. We have to say though, she did that just right! The collection was made out of leather and suede pieces, all of which ranged from tunics resting over trousers, sleeveless A-line shift dresses, cargo pants with matching jackets and finely tailored coats.

There was one particular detail to the collection that gave it a whole new meaning: the apron trop. It was an easy design that was elegantly included in some of the pieces and it was to-die-for. Rectangular patchworks were brought together with saddle-stitching and were the basis of an even bigger picture. The designer had beautifully created a wardrobe for the modern woman – we’re thing slim coats and cross-body bags – and had incorporated them in Hermès’ traditions and values. Need we say more?
