Edgy, rich and very chic; a concept that was never lost on Alessandro Michele and that has subsequently reached new heights during Gucci’s Cruise 2018 show in Firenze.

The Italian House’s collection featured pieces that mended the bridge between Rock’n’Roll and Renaissance, old and contemporary – think chiffon dresses, ruffled necklines, the moniker vintage shapes. When models glided on stage, there was a vision of pure glamor being enacted, be it with the exceptional outfits or with the lavish accessories.

The abundance of accoutrements was proven to be very crucial to the trippy collection as a personalized embroidered cap accompanied the show’s invitation. We were all taken aback by the richly ornamented bags inspired by the House’s archive, starting with the Max-totes with Gucci’s staple colors, to the smaller boxy versions with butterfly clasps, Double Gs and opulent symbols of wolves and tigers. The psychedelic vibe continued its powerful route with glittery socks infused with the Gucci logo, merging later on unto scarves with cat symbols, diaphanous headbands, metallic Mary-Jane shoes and fur-lined mules. The memorabilia of Gucci staples was enough to make a true fashion endorser tear up, giving way to a slew of the most eccentric accessories out there.
