Enjoy Winter with Soft Skin

The weather keeps getting colder and you most definitely won’t enjoy it with itchy, dehydrated skin, right? We all know that cold is our skin’s biggest enemy, as during this time of the year, it gets harsh and treating it will provide us with ultimate comfort and gives it a healthy look.

What if we tell you that achieving smooth and silky skin is a piece of cake? Before you start celebrating the news, take a look at the easy ways that will help you get there this winter.

1 – Although hot showers are what we like the most in winter, use lukewarm water when you can, especially when it comes to your face and hands. This will avoid stripping your skin from many oils that usually keep it hydrated.

2 – Moisturize immediately after your shower when your skin is still damp, which will seal the dampness into it.

3 – Choose your moisturizer carefully, avoiding petroleum-based ingredients and opt for natural and nourishing formulas. Oil-based solutions are better than water-based ones, as they help your skin retain moisture during the winter season.

4 – Protect your skin from cold winds by wearing gloves and scarves.

5 – If your place is supplied with a heating system, then get a humidifier – especially in the bedroom to moisturize the air and keep your skin from drying out.

6 – We know that most people drink a lot of tea and hot cocoa when it’s cold out, but nothing replaces the benefits of water when it comes to hydrating your skin. Therefore, drink warm water with lemon juice, because it’s as refreshing as it is hydrating for your skin.

7 – Exfoliation is key during winter, as it removes dead cells particularly on your hands. The latter actually prevent moisture from penetrating the skin, so an exfoliating mask for the body and face is definitely a winter must-have!

8 – Eat food high in water like celery, tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini and carrots – which will hydrate your body from the inside.

Now bid farewell to dryness and say hello to baby-soft skin!
