It was Kim Jones’ first Dior Homme collection in Paris and it was every bit as outstanding as we expected it to be. The star-studded show welcomed guests with the likes of Rita Ora, Naomi Campbell, Lenny Kravitz and Robert Pattinson – amongst others – filling up the front-row seats. It was yet another major designer debut and the industry was very much anticipating this turn in Dior’s history.

And it’s at the heart of the barracks of Garde Républicaine that show-goers gathered to witness the designer’s first ever collection for Dior Homme. With Prince Nikolai of Denmark starting the show, it was all very promising! There were botanical insignias taking over the garments and a kind of elegant approach to the collection that seemed to salute Dior’s values. Pink and grey tones were a thing and organza and tulle trench-coats made quite the impression. Some sportswear elements were featured as well, such as trainers and baseball caps.

It was all very effortlessly elegant and playful, just like the House’s lingo.
