Chopard Supports Green Carpet Fashion Awards, Italia

What makes fashion even more magical is the jewelry that makes every look complete and perfect. That said, fashion designers deserve to be treated with an equally majestic award and Chopard makes this vision a reality. Supporting the Green Carpet Fashion Awards, Italia, the Swiss house captures pomegranates, poetry and symbolism in its stunning Green Carpet Fashion Award made of responsibly-sourced certified Fairmined gold.

The statuette was revealed during a private lunch held in Venice. A-list celebrities such as Alberta Ferretti, Isabeli Fontana, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Colin Firth – to name a few – joined Chopard’s Co-President Caroline Scheufele,  Founder and Creative Director of Eco-Age Livia Firth and Carlo Capasa, Chairman of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.

One of these awards that constitute another step in Chopard’s journey to sustainable luxury, the Green Carpet Fashion Awards Artisanal Laureate 2017 will be presented on September 24th to the first ever recipient Chiara Vigo at La Scala event in Milan. This lucky lady truly deserves it, as she’s the last of her generation to make the sea silk known as Bisso. A true symbol of Italian craftsmanship, she is the only person left to harvest this precious material, spin it and make it shine like gold.

“Designing the award was an honor that would be impossible to pass up,” said Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Creative Director, Chopard. “These awards are closely aligned with our values at Chopard, especially with the Journey to Sustainable Luxury and the celebration of the artisans involved in all levels of our supply chains. It was only right that the statuette should reflect the values at the heart of the event.”

More of these exquisite awards will be given during this special event that will take place during Milan Fashion Week, so stay tuned for more!
