CHANEL Proves Its Commitment to Education

CHANEL has always been vastly involved in education, especially in curriculums offered by schools in the fields of creation, savoir-faire, management, marketing, business, digital and new technologies. CHANEL has also built long-term and targeted partnerships with several prestigious schools, by setting up collaborative projects and offering internships – amongst other endeavors.

To support Paris as the capital of Fashion, the House has also directed its efforts towards the IFM (Institut Français de la Mode), actively involving itself in its curriculum to attract and train international talents who will later work at all the Fashion Houses.

And so, as a committed partner of IFM, CHANEL offers students at IFM the chance to undertake projects with the teams at the House as well as several internships.

Back in 2015, the House, together with ESSEC Business School, established a professorship dedicated to the management of exceptional savoir-faire, hence welcoming a dozen students and offering them spaces for reflection, dialogue and teaching through the implementation of a project, proposed and accompanied by the Maisons d'art teams. CHANEL is also involved with the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, as well as La Fabrique, École des métiers de la mode et de la décoration.

And in 2016, CHANEL designed and developed an exclusive international program with ENSAAMA (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art) to accelerate the development of its students working on visual merchandising.

The House has also partnered up with international schools such as Central Saint Martins in London.

Fast forward to today, CHANEL has involved itself with the engineering school ITECH, by taking part in a double degree project which aims to train multidisciplinary students and focus on innovation.
