The fashion calendar has finally landed on what could only seem as the perfect collection to celebrate the change of seasons. Held in Paris, Chanel’s Cruise 2018 collection boasts ancient Greek inspirations and unparalleled elegance. Indeed, Lagerfeld hosted a Greek-themed runway show, worthy of his timeless legacy and chockfull of the ancient culture’s most iconic symbols. While the great designer reimagined the ancient times in a Chanel kind of way, the runway pieces featured toga-infused jersey dresses, goddess dresses as well as a series of soft-pastel shorts and trousers. Ancient coins made a grand impression and laurel leaves were ever-so present. But it all brings us to the question at hand: what about the accessories?

Well, as it happens, shoes turned into strappy and column-heeled sandals, headbands took the form of bejeweled golden pieces, Chanel’s iconic bags transformed into crochet wonders and body accessories seemed to come straight out of a Greek play – think golden arm cuffs, and opulent, torso-covering necklaces.  Safe to say, the to-die-for staples are right where we want them to be – in Chanel’s Cruise 2018 collection.
