Audemars Piguet Adds Its Touch to Art Basel 2017

This year’s Hong Kong edition of Art Basel – held from March 23 to March 25 – will definitely be an exciting one, as the Collectors’ Lounge will host a booth inspired by Audemars Piguet’s home in the Vallée de Joux entitled “Second Nature”. For the second consecutive year, Chilean designer Sebastian Errazuriz is the creative mind behind the Swiss watchmaker’s innovative lounge, which will welcome a new watch and a savoir-faire exhibition.

Last year’s ice formations will morph into warm materials such as wood, to decorate the space and remind the visitor of the vast forests in the Jura Mountains, symbolizing Audemars Piguet’s deep sense of history and endless growth. As a global Associate Partner of the fair, the brand is successfully adding its distinctive touch to the place by embodying the development of a tree and displaying its stages of evolution during the three Art Basel editions.

“We are delighted to continue working with Sebastian Errazuriz this year. Through his attention to detail and understanding of artistic excellence, technical mastery, tradition, innovation, and of course, nature, he has again achieved a design that transports the essence of the Vallée de Joux into the Art Basel lounge,” said Olivier Audemars, Vice President of the Board of Directors.
