It’s with breathtaking views of the Burj Khalifa through a curved 186-foot storefront that also overlooks the Dubai Fountain, that Apple opens its store at The Dubai Mall. It is indeed a place where people gather to learn and be entertained, as the opening day also witnessed the launch of Apple’s new global in-store experience, “Today at Apple”.

Having education and inspiration as a motto, every Apple Store – including Apple Dubai Mall, will start hosting “Today at Apple” next month with new sessions on photo and video, music, art, design and more led by highly-trained team members. In addition, Apple Dubai Mall will host high-profile events comprising live music, intimate conversations with film-makers and photographers, and live workshops with some of the world’s top talents.

Technology is further taken to new levels with the eighteen 37.5-foot-high motorized “Solar Wings” designed by Foster + Partners and inspired by the traditional Arabic Mashrabiya to respond to the country’s ever-changing environmental conditions. In fact, they cool the store during the day when the sun is out and open in the evenings to welcome everyone to the public terrace.
